friend/shapes friend/scapes is a collaborative publication by Hannah Polinski & Laura Mota-Juang. Since both artists tap into different mediums, the process involved responding to each other's visions across disciplines. They exchanged photographs taken before they had met, and projected meaning into each other’s memories using poetry. What results is an exploration of personal experience and its retelling, blurring the lines between myth and memory. In this process the poems took shape in the gap of what is known and unknown of each other’s past lives, taking license to mold and merge their stories.
